We are very pleased that you have decided to stay at the "Alpina Vals" and thank you for your confidence and for your reservation.
We are pleased to inform you about our general terms and conditions of business and cancellation (hereinafter referred to as GTC), which apply to all reservations made. Please check the confirmation and report any errors or corrections immediately.


These General Terms and Conditions apply to all guest accommodation contracts concluded between Hotel Alpina Vals Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Hotel Alpina Vals) and the third party (guest), as well as to all other services and deliveries provided by Hotel Alpina Vals Ltd.

Conclusion of contract

With the acceptance of the written, telephone, electronic or personal booking by the guest and the delivery of our reservation confirmation, an accommodation contract is concluded. This contract is binding for both parties.


Services, prices & payment

Hotel Alpina Vals undertakes to provide the services promised and

confirmed to the guest.
Unless otherwise stated, the prices are per person and in Swiss Francs including service and VAT. The obligatory visitor's tax is not included in the overnight prices and in the packages and will be charged additionally on site.
The entire invoice amount will be paid by the customer in cash (in CHF or EUR), by debit card (EC-Maestro/ Postcard) or by credit card (Mastercard, Visacard) at the latest at the time of departure.
Hotel Alpina Vals AG reserves the right to request advance payment. There is no right to receive an invoice.


Cancellation conditions

The following conditions regarding cancellations, no-shows

and early departure apply:
The cancellation deadline defined in the booking confirmation expires at check-in time at 13:00. If a booking is cancelled after this deadline, 80% of the total stay will be charged.

Non-arrivals will be charged with 100% of the total amount.

Early departures will be charged with 100% of the total amount

(based on room-breakfast).

For group bookings (bookings of more than 5 rooms) as well as during certain dates defined by Hotel Alpina Vals, other cancellation deadlines may be specified in the reservation confirmation.

We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance before

the start of your trip.

If the booked arrangement cannot be taken up, Hotel Alpina Vals will always accept a substitute person, who must accept the booking under the same conditions. The name of the person must be communicated to Hotel Alpina Vals in advance.


Consumption of smoking goods in the non-smoking hotel 

The Hotel Alpina Vals is a non-smoking hotel. It is therefore strictly

prohibited to smoke in the rooms.
In the event of a breach of this rule, Hotel Alpina Vals will charge a sum of between CHF 50 and CHF 250 as compensation for the extra basic cleaning costs.
This amount may be set higher if Hotel Alpina Vals can prove higher damages. The hotel is also entitled to charge the guest for any loss of turnover resulting

from the fact that the room cannot be rented out as a result of the above.
This also applies to smoking while the window is open.
Do not attempt to turn down the smoke detector, as this will automatically

trigger a malfunction of the fire alarm system, which may result in consequential costs that will be charged to the guest.


Fire police regulations and safety rules

Guests undertake to comply with the fire regulations of the Hotel Alpina Vals, in particular to keep escape routes clear and to observe the above-mentioned smoking ban, etc.
The use of mobile hotplates, water boilers etc. brought along by the guests themselves is strictly prohibited.


The bringing of pets requires the consent of Hotel Alpina Vals.
Pets are not allowed in the restaurant on the first floor. Pets are allowed in the bar/pizzeria after consultation with the hotel staff.
The guest is liable for any damage caused by animals brought along.
In any case, Hotel Alpina Vals reserves the right to charge for any final cleaning that may be necessary due to the animal.

Lost property

For reasons of discretion, lost property will only be forwarded on request and at the risk and expense of the guest.


Your postal address and e-mail address can be used for sporadic information deliveries or newsletters.



The guest is obliged to maintain peace and order.
The guest must use and treat the hotel room with the utmost care. It may only be used or occupied by the number of persons (including children) mentioned in the reservation confirmation.


Applicable law/ place of jurisdiction

Swiss law is exclusively applicable to the contract. The District Court of Lugnez shall be the place of jurisdiction, whereby Hotel Alpina Vals is free to take legal action at the residence or business location of the guest. Should individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

General Data Protection Regulation

The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (DSGVO, TKG 2003). In this data protection information we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within the framework of our website.



Contact with us

If you contact us via the form on the website or by e-mail, your data will be stored for six months for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.


Data storage

We would like to point out that for the purpose of an easier shopping process and for later contract processing, the IP data of the connection owner is stored by the web shop operator within the framework of cookies, as well as name and address.

The data provided by you is necessary for the fulfilment of the contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. Without this data we cannot conclude the accommodation contract with you. There will be no data transmission to third parties, with the exception of the transmission of credit card data to the processing bank institutes / payment service providers for the purpose of debiting the purchase price, to the transport company / shipping company commissioned by us for the delivery of the goods and to our tax consultant for the fulfilment

of our tax obligations.
Furthermore, we would like to point out that we work together with the third party service provider "Trustyou" to give you the opportunity to evaluate your stay.



Our website may use so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your end device with the help of the browser. They do not cause any damage.

We can use cookies to make our offer user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your terminal device until you delete them. They enable us to recognize your browser the next time you visit us.

If you do not wish this, you can set up your browser so that it informs you about the setting of cookies and you only allow this in individual cases.

If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited.


Web analysis

Our website uses functions of the web analysis service "Google Analytics". Cookies are used for this purpose, which enable an analysis of the use of the website

by your users. The information thus generated is transferred to the

provider's server and stored there.

We have concluded a corresponding contract with the provider

for order data processing.



As a guest of our hotel you will receive valuable news from Vals

by e-mail 4-5 times a year at the most.
You can cancel your subscription to the newsletter at any time. We will then immediately delete your data in connection with the newsletter dispatch.
We would also like to point out that we use a mail service provider called MailChimp to send the newsletter. This provider provides us with anonymized information about opening and click rates of the newsletter.




Your rights

In principle, you are entitled to the rights of information, correction, deletion, restriction, data transferability, revocation and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have otherwise been violated in any way, you can complain to the supervisory authority. In Austria this is the data protection authority.
